Volunteers Needed for the King James Reading Program!!
One important aspect of the Friends of the A.H. Library is reaching out to those who love books and reading.
In that regard, we have been volunteering at the King James Nursing Home located on Highway 36 every Thursday evening. The volunteer for the evening brings a book (the Library has some books set aside for this purpose) and reads to a group of residents for approximately an hour or so. The residents love that someone comes in, they enjoy the break in the routine, and love being read to and having a discussion afterwards.

The 3RD Annual Friends Holiday Party for the King James Residents will be held on December 17th. If you would like to join us or would like to contribute a baked good, please contact us.
